World Cup Scouting Challenge — Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

The World Cup Scouting Challenge ("the Campaign") is a free prize competition run by Ultimate XI ("we," "us," or "our"). Managers select one player from their Ultimate XI squad who is part of a squad competing at the FIFA World Cup, and predict that this player will see the largest percentage increase in market value over the tournament. The manager whose selected player records the highest percentage increase in value wins a World Cup jersey of their choice. These terms govern participation in the Campaign. By entering the Campaign you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

• You must have a registered Ultimate XI account in good standing.
• Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of Ultimate XI are not eligible to win.
• The Campaign is open to registered managers worldwide.
• There is no entry fee.

3. Campaign Period

Entries can be made or changed at any time from the launch of the Campaign up until kick-off of the FIFA World Cup final on 19th July. The final values used to determine the winner will be calculated 24 hours after kick-off of the World Cup final.

4. How to Enter

• Select one player from your current squad who is part of a national squad competing at the FIFA World Cup.
• A given player can only be selected by one manager at a time. If the player you want has already been selected by another manager, you will need to choose a different player.
• You may change your selection as many times as you like before the Campaign closes, subject to your chosen player not already being selected by another manager.
• Only your selection at the close of the Campaign Period (kick-off of the World Cup final) will be considered for determining the winner.
• There is no separate registration required beyond making a selection through the Ultimate XI platform.

5. Winner Determination

The winner is the manager whose selected player records the highest percentage increase in market value between the value at the time of selection and the value calculated 24 hours after kick-off of the World Cup final.

• Player market values are sourced from FotMob, the same data provider used elsewhere on the Ultimate XI platform for player valuations.
• Percentage change is calculated as: ((final value − value at selection) ÷ value at selection) × 100.
• A player's value may rise or fall over the tournament for any reason, including but not limited to on-pitch performance, injury, or transfer activity.
• Values and the resulting winner are final once calculated and will not be adjusted for late data corrections unless an error is material and solely caused by Ultimate XI.
• If FotMob changes, restricts, or removes the player market valuation functionality that this Campaign relies on, in a way that prevents Ultimate XI from determining a starting or final value for participants' selected players, the Campaign will be deemed void and no prize will be awarded.

6. Tiebreaker

If two or more managers' selected players record the same percentage increase in value, the winner will be the manager who locked in their final selection of that player earliest. Ultimate XI's decision in applying tiebreaker rules is final.

7. Prize

• The prize is a World Cup jersey of the winner's choice, awarded to a single winner.
• The jersey must be available for delivery either to an address in the United Kingdom or to an address in the winner's country of residence.
• The jersey will be the standard replica (non-authentic) version and will be supplied uncustomised — without any name, number, or badge personalisation.
• We will contact the winning manager via their registered email address to arrange selection and delivery of the jersey.
• The prize is non-transferable and has no cash alternative.
• The winner is solely responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or import charges relating to the prize in their jurisdiction.

8. Disqualification

We reserve the right to disqualify any participant and void any selection where we have reasonable grounds to believe the result was achieved through cheating, exploitation of bugs, use of bots or automated tools, or any other means that violate the Ultimate XI terms of service.

9. Right to Modify or Cancel

Ultimate XI reserves the right to modify, pause, or cancel the Campaign at any time with reasonable notice. If the Campaign is cancelled before a winner is determined, no prize will be awarded.

10. General

• Ultimate XI's decisions regarding selections, values, winners, and the application of these rules are final.
• We are not liable for any technical failures that prevent a selection from being made or changed, provided we have taken reasonable steps to maintain platform availability.
• These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• These terms may be updated at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
